J.Make was born from the idea of giving new life to leftover wood generated in the making of traditional Japanese garden gates and fences.

Our parent company, Yamaichiya, is a manufacturer with a 70-year legacy as a specialist in garden and exterior products.

As the availability of natural materials decreases over time due to a decline in production and fewer successors in the craft, even wood scraps left over from manufacturing have become valuable resources. With that in mind, we manufacture products that fully utilize these precious, leftover materials in an effort to deliver Japanese spaces to everyone and to contribute solutions to the challenges facing our society.

Our precious materials and products are carefully handcrafted one by one at our in-house workshop in Japan, where the skill of experienced artisans shines through every detail.
